With a love of the outdoors it has been only natural that his main interest has been the natural world, both documenting and finding the art in nature. While some may believe that the natural world has been overdone, David believes that true art is a statement of vision that can only be found after truly “knowing” a subject. This requires an exploration of both self and subject, over time.

With experience in the custom lab business as an owner and a manager and over 30 years of shooting both commercial work and his personal work, David has found his voice photographically.

Specializing in images from around Virginia and cityscapes of Richmond for commercial uses, his art has been about the James River and the found art of his surroundings.
